Contentment
hello! i shall attempt to revive this blog.. and post about the lesson on contentment.
just a few things which i written down, may not be a comprehensive outline though!
Contentment - similar to satisfaction.
Opposite - Comparison, which steals our peace.
Scripture Reference: Philippians 4:10-13. Things to note.. Paul is imprisoned! He was actually someone who was not easily contented. Very focused on attaining his goals.. look at the way he persecuted the christians.
What's the secret of being content? Have to learn it step-by-step. (Philippians 1:9 growing in His knowledge.)
1. Trust God's goodness. 2 Cor 4:8-9
2. Extract meaning in times of difficulty. Rom 8:28, James 1:2-4.
